1. Who we are
connect.gs (“connect.gs”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a visual builder that helps people create and deploy Google Apps Script automations for Google Workspace. This policy applies to the connect.gs website, web application, and related services (together, the “Service”).
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment provider collects and processes your billing details; we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
Information from Google
When you choose to sign in with Google or connect your Google account, we request your permission to access specific Google data through OAuth. We only request the scopes needed to operate the features you use, and we access this data solely to provide the Service:
- Email address and basic profile(openid, email) — to identify your account and link your Google connection.
- Google Sheets (read-only)— to let you select spreadsheets and configure workflows that read sheet data.
- Google Forms (read-only)— to let you select forms and build form-triggered workflows.
- Google Calendar (read-only)— to let you select calendars and reference events when configuring workflows.
- Google Tasks (read-only)— to let you select task lists when configuring workflows.
- Google Drive (read-only)— to let you browse and select files used in workflows.
- Google Apps Script (projects, deployments, triggers)— to generate, deploy, and manage the automation scripts that run inside your own Google account.
- Gmail — send(gmail.send) — to let workflows you configure send email on your behalf.
- Gmail — compose(gmail.compose) — to let workflows you configure create email drafts.
- Gmail (read-only)(gmail.readonly) — to let workflows you configure read and search your email.
- Apps Script — email notifications(script.send_mail) — to send email notifications from your scripts (via MailApp), for example workflow error alerts.
- Apps Script — external requests(script.external_request) — to let your scripts make outbound HTTP requests to external APIs you configure (including AI providers and our run logger).
The automations you build run within your own Google account under Apps Script. The generated scripts may request additional permissions (for example, to send email or write to a sheet) at the time you authorize and run them in Google; those permissions are granted by you directly to your own script.
